You are a few steps away from gaining a holistic view of your customer journey. It is imperative thank you follow the simple steps below to install userID.io on your Google Analytics account.
Feel free to forward these instructions to your developer, however we made them simple enough that if you have Google Tag Manager on your site then all you'll need to do is copy and paste a few bits of code.
User-ID reports will need to be enabled in your Google Analytics account. Follow steps 1 and 3 in the set up User-ID in Google Analytics guide. userID.io will take care of step 2 for you. Make sure session unification is turned on when enabling User-ID on your property.
Now for the fun part:
Without Google Tag Manager:
If you don't have Google Tag Manager install, we highly recommend installing it. Trust us, it will make your life easier. userID.io does not require Google Tag Manager to get started so if you're not using Google Tag Manager check out the the userID.io documentation.
With Google Tag Manager (recommended):
Import the container template into Google Tag Manager
Change the `Constant - Google GA Property ID` value to match your application's property id
